Buy from your neighbor, sell to your neighbor — safely.

Komshia brings trade between Türkiye and Bulgaria onto a single secure marketplace — with escrow protection, two-code shipping and a transparent commission. Here is how it works, end to end.

Step by step for buyers

The money you pay stays safe at Komshia until you receive and confirm your order. You never have to share your personal details with the seller.

  1. 1

    Create an account

Sign up in seconds with Social-ID, Google or email. You are represented in the system by a number (#1234); your real details stay private.

  2. 2

    Find a product

Browse categories from textiles and food to furniture and electronics; compare EUR-based prices shown in TRY and BGN.

  3. 3

    Add to cart

Combine products from different sellers in one cart. Shipping is calculated automatically based on desi (volume/weight).

  4. 4

    Pay (escrow)

Pay securely with Stripe or İyzico. Your money does not go straight to the seller — it is held in escrow at Komshia.

  5. 5

    Track the shipment

Once the seller ships, you receive a personal tracking code (TRK). Use it to follow your order step by step.

  6. 6

    Confirm delivery

When the product arrives and everything is fine, you confirm delivery. Payment is released to the seller only after this confirmation.

  7. 7

    Leave a rating

Rate the seller and the shipping experience. Your reviews help other neighbors shop with confidence.

Step by step for sellers

Listing is free; you are paid only when the buyer confirms delivery. The only deduction is a 5% commission on completed sales.

  1. 1

    Register (instant)

Apply with your tax ID — validation is automatic, so you do not wait days for approval. You can start selling right away.

  2. 2

    Add a product

Upload an image, write a description and set dual pricing: separate prices for individual buyers (B2C) and approved business buyers (B2B). Enter weight/dimensions and desi is calculated automatically.

  3. 3

    Shipment code on order (KRG)

When payment enters escrow you receive a unique shipment code (KRG). It identifies the shipment for that order.

  4. 4

Hand it to an Aras branch

Prepare the parcel and drop it off with your KRG code at the nearest Aras Kargo branch. The carrier handles the address and label; you never see the buyer’s address.

  5. 5

    Get paid

When the buyer confirms delivery, escrow is released; after a 5% commission (minimum €0.50) is deducted, the remainder is transferred to your account.

  6. 6

    Earn ratings

Fast shipping and good service mean a higher seller rating. High-rated sellers gain more visibility and sell more.

What is escrow?

Escrow is a system where payment is held by a trusted intermediary. At Komshia your money waits with us until you receive and confirm your order; if something goes wrong it can be refunded. This protects the buyer from fraud while guaranteeing payment to the seller.

Two-code shipping

To keep the shipment moving without sharing personal details, we use two separate codes. Addresses stay with the carrier; you never see the other party’s address.

KRG — shipment code (to the seller)

Sent to the seller when the order enters escrow. The seller hands the parcel to an Aras branch using this code. It identifies the shipment.

TRK — tracking code (to the buyer)

Sent to the buyer once the parcel is on its way. The buyer tracks the order with it. It shows the delivery status.

Everything else you should know

B2B wholesale

Business buyers see wholesale prices with an approved business account. B2B and B2C are fully separated: wholesale prices are only available to approved business buyers, while individual buyers see retail prices.

A business application is made with tax-ID validation and is usually approved automatically.

Tax & customs (TR → BG)

For shipments to Bulgaria, VAT (ДДС) is 20%. If the goods value is €150 or less, VAT is collected at checkout under the IOSS scheme — no surprises at customs.

If the goods value exceeds €150, VAT and any customs duty are paid on import at customs; at checkout only an estimate is shown and nothing extra is collected there.

How is shipping calculated?

Shipping is desi-based: desi = max(weight kg, length×width×height / 3000). So large but light parcels are charged by volume, while small but heavy parcels are charged by weight.

Prices are kept in EUR; you are always shown the TRY and BGN equivalents too.

Security & privacy

Thanks to Social-ID identity, everyone appears in the system as a number (#1234). Personal data such as name, address and phone is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and is never shared with the counterparty.

Escrow and an anti-fraud trust gate make fraud harder; high-value orders from new sellers may go through an extra review before payout. If something goes wrong, your right to a refund and dispute is preserved.

Frequently asked questions

When does the money reach the seller?

Your payment is held in escrow and is transferred to the seller only after you confirm delivery. If something goes wrong before confirmation, you can get a refund.

How do refunds work?

A refund is possible while payment is in escrow (before delivery confirmation) or when a dispute is opened. For Stripe payments the refund is processed automatically. Details are on the Returns & Withdrawal Policy page.

How long does shipping take?

On the TR→BG corridor, parcels are carried by Aras Kargo. As soon as the seller drops off the parcel, you receive a tracking code (TRK) and follow your order live. Customs procedures on orders over €150 may extend the timeline.

How do I apply for B2B (wholesale)?

You apply for a business account from the B2B page; with tax-ID validation you are usually approved automatically. Once approved, wholesale prices become visible in your account.

Is my data safe?

Yes. You are represented in the system by a number; your name, address and contact details are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and are not shared with the counterparty. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

How much is the commission?

A 5% commission (minimum €0.50) is charged on completed sales. Listing is free and there are no hidden fees. The commission applies only when a sale actually happens.

How long does seller approval take?

Because tax-ID validation is automatic, registration is approved instantly; you can start selling immediately.

Who pays taxes and customs fees?

For orders up to €150, VAT (20%) is collected at checkout — nothing extra later. For orders over €150, VAT and any customs duty are paid on import at customs; an estimate is shown at checkout.
