Our Mission
Bilateral trade between Türkiye and Bulgaria exceeds €7.7 billion a year — yet most of that volume still flows through traditional channels burdened by middlemen, trust issues and language barriers. Komshia was founded to digitalise this bridge.
Our mission is simple: make trade between the businesses and consumers of two neighboring countries accessible to everyone — with escrow protection, a transparent commission and a trilingual (Turkish, Bulgarian, English) experience.
That is where our name comes from — "komshia" (комшия), the word both languages share: neighbor.

The Company
Komshia is operated by SMARTIA OOD (СМАРТИЯ ООД), a limited liability company (ООД) registered in Bulgaria, Tria City Center, Burgas. The data controller is established in Bulgaria (EU) and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, (EU) 2016/679) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act (ЗЗЛД). To the extent services are offered to users located in Türkiye, Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK) also applies.
Our sellers are registered businesses in Türkiye and Bulgaria; our buyers are both corporate (B2B) and individual (B2C) customers.
